Here is a Guide/Walkthrough I wrote for
SMB3. It shows some hidden areas in some levels, and some tips for some
levels.
World 1-1: Just make your way across the level. You can hold down on
the white block near the start to go behind the scenery,
it doesn't get you anywhere, just a neat trick. When you see the first
hole, and a trail of coins going up, you can fly up
with them. There is a 1up there, some coins.
Near the very end of the level, there is a tall pipe, if you fly up to
it, you can enter it and get coins.
World 1-2: About half-way through you can sneak under a brick that's
right above the ground, it has a p-switch to make coins
bricks. You can then jump on the new bricks to get to the pipe. There
is a hidden 1up above the pipe, you can get if you
jump.
World 1-3: Near the start you will see abunch of bricks. You can push
the koopa into them, he will bounce back and fourth and
destroy abunch of them. There is an invisible block you can get there
now, jump down in-between the bricks and jump up
farthest from the left. You can now jump on the block and go up to a
cloud area and get abunch of coins.
Near the end, there is a white block. Go on it and hold down. You will
fall behind the scenery. Just go right, and you will
end up in a Toads House and get a Whistle.
World 1-4: An ordinary forced-scroll level. Just get across. Collect
all the coins to make a White Toad House Appear, it will
contain a p-wing.
World 1 Fortress: Just make your way across the lava until you get to a
Dry Bones. Crush the Dry Bones. Now if you have a
Raccoon Suit, you can run and fly, go up above the last lava pit
against the ceiling, hold to the right. You will land on the
ceiling, move right until you stop. Press up to enter a door, you will
then be in a room with a whistle.
World 1-5: Enter the level and hold down to slide down the hill. Go
across the water and get by the venus fire trap. Then go
up, not down. Jump up to the platform on the far left. You will reveal
an invisible block. Use it to go to a cloud area and
get coins.
World 1-6: Near the end there is a long platform above a platform on a
track. If you have a Raccoon Suit, you can run on the
long platform, fly and get a few coins.
Fortress: Nothing special here, just make your way across all the
cannon balls and bullets.
World 2-1: Watch out for the brick goombas here, one near the very
start. When you get to the first Pipe Square, you can fly
above it, and get into a pipe to get some coins.
World 2-2: Collect all the coins to make a White Toad House Appear, it
will contain an anchor.
World 2 Mini-Fortress: Just a regular mini-fortress with thwomps and
ghosts.
Near the end there will be a line of thwomps. If you back up and run,
you can get right by all of them unharmed.
World 2-3: Go across the level, you will get to a pyramid of bricks,
there is a 1up about half-way inside, you can chip away
of the bricks to get it if you want. Also, watch out, there's a brick
goomba at the top of the pyramid. You can also fly up
above this area and hit a brick to reveal a p-switch. Hit this p-switch
and have all the bricks in the level turn to coins.
Now there are a whole bunch of bricks that are now coins below, so jump
down and get 'em.
World 2 Quicksand: Here is where you encounter that dreaded Angry Sun.
Remember you can destroy him with a koopa shell, and
there a some koopas where he starts to swoop down at you. There is also
a tornado halfway through this level, take a running
start and jump over it.
World 2-4: If you have the ability to fly, you can fly up at the far
left corner of the level, you will bust through bricks.
You can then go across the level from up here, and get tons of coins,
bypass all the boomerang bros below, but watch out
there's one at the very end by the card space.
World 2-5: Watch out for the chain-chomps. About 70% of the way across
the level, you can push a koopa shell so it will fall
and brake bricks, it will unleash a bean stalk. Climb up the beanstalk,
go across the platforms getting coins, enter the
pipe, get some more coins. Watch out at the end of the level, there is
a chain chomp under the card panel.
World 2 Pyramid: A fun little level. If you don't have a tail, use the
buzzy beetles to destroy the bricks to get across the
level. About halfway through you will see a pipe from the ceiling, with
some blocks surrounding it. There is a hidden block
beside this, you can get, and then use to get to the pipe.
World 2 Hidden Area: Defeating one of the boomerang bro mini-levels
will get you a hammer. Go to the far top-right corner of
the map and use it. It will brake the rock, you can then move over, and
reveal more of the map. There is a Fire Bro there you
can fight. Beat it and get a frog suit, it's getting you ready for the
next world, Water Land.
World 2 Fortress: Another regular ship, just make your way across. And
fight the koopa kid.
World 3-1: Go straight down at the very start of the level, there is a
coin block where you can get a mushroom or fire flower
depending on what you currently are. Then just make your way across the
level.
World 3-2: The bottom of the level is all water with cheep-cheeps
jumping out, but there are moving platforms you can use to
get to the end. Near the start there is a |_ shape of blocks. You can
push a side block and get a star, get it and
continue on with the moving platform. There are coin blocks coming up
that will give you more stars as long as you get them
before your current star power ends.
World 3-3: You encounter that horrible Big Cheep-Cheep for the first
time, get near him and he'll quickly eat you! So go fast
across the level, jump when he's near to avoid getting eaten.
World 3 Mini-Fortress 1: There are a series of doors in this level.
Most will drop you into water where you have to swim over
to a pipe and appear near the start. Well, the last door will bring to
a room where you can get some coins. The 5th door
will bring you to a small platform where you can get a 1up. The 6th
door is the one you need to go in, it will bring you to
another door which will bring you to Boom-Boom.
World 3-4: Just a grass level, try and get across. There are some hills
near the start. Hold down to slide down and defeat
the enemies, after that, run and jump over a pit of water.
World 3-5: A Water level, just make your way across, there are
jelectros and big cheep-cheap:
World 3 Boat Time!: Defeating one of the Hammer Bro. Mini-Levels will
get you a hammer. straight across from level 5 there is
a rock, brake it. It will let you go to a boat where you can go row
around the water. There are two mini-islands. One will
get you 2 Toad Houses and 2 Spade Panels, and the other small island
has a Toad House.
World 3-6: A forced side-scrolling level, try and make it across.
World 3-7: Watch out, there are spikes all over this level. They will
go at you and throw spiked balls at you. About halfway
through the level there are two brick platforms, one long, and one
smaller above the long one. There is a beanstalk in the
top-small one. Climb it, get some coins, and get a p-switch which will
make bricks coins.
World 3 Mini-Fortress 2: A water fortress, just get across, a Frog Suit
makes this level easier. The third room has stretch
ghosts in it. There are 3 sets of them. The first set, you go under
them to pass them. The second you go over to pass them,
and the third set you go in-between.
World 3-8: Somewhat similar to World 3-3. There is a Big Cheep-Cheep
and you have to get across, while the ground moves up
and down in the water. Avoid the Big Cheep-Cheep. There are beanstalks
you can get along the way, climb up them to avoid the
Big Cheep-Cheep. Collect all the coins to make a White Toad House
Appear, it will contain a p-wing.
World 3-9: You can get a frog suit in this level. Just make your way
across the level, until you get too a pipe at the end
surrounded by white bricks.
Go down the pipe, and go to the left. Get past the cheep-cheeps that
are in your way, and you'll get to a pipe. Go down it,
and hold the control pad to the right. You'll move over and be able to
get a frog suit. If you don't hold over you'll miss
the frog suit. But you can go all the way back and try again.
World 3 Fortress: Defeat that koopa kid!
World 4-1: There is a hidden water area at the top of the level. If you
have a p-wing you can start flying at the start of
the level and get to the water area, and go down the pipe. If you don't
want to use a p-wing. You can get a leaf in the
level, there are two coin bricks that will give you a mushroom or leaf
depending on what you are. Anyway, once you past the
little waterfall, you can brake the little bricks with your tail. You
can destroy the bottom giant brick by throwing a koopa
shell at it. Then run, start flying up, and you will see the water
area. Once you get there, go far left and enter the pipe,
there are Big Cheep-Cheep in there, but you can get some 1ups.
World 4-2: Just try and get across this level, watch out for the flying
cheep-cheep. Collect all the coins to make a White
Toad House Appear, it will contain an anchor.
World 4-3: Near the start of this level you will encounter 2 Sledge
Bros. Now these are BIG Hammer Bros. When they jump and
touch the ground, if your on the ground, you will freeze, and be open
to get hit with a hammer.
Now, there are a few ways to get by them. You can run really fast right
from the start and jump over the first, land, run a
little bit and jump over the second one, you will land on a pipe, go
down it. A second way is you can try and quickly run
under them while their in the air, this is daring though, you have to
time it right. And as soon as you pass under them, jump
to avoid getting frozen when they land. The third way is to take on the
sledge bros, and try and dodge their hammer, avoid
getting frozen, and jump on them to destroy them.
Anyway, what a long paragraph to describe getting by a couple of sledge
bros. Well, one you enter the pipe, you will be in an
underground area. Try and get past this level now. There will be spinys
and buzzy beetles, some will fall off the ceiling and
come rolling at you. Also, near the very end of the underground area,
there are a couple little platforms you have to jump
from. They have a straight line block in the middle of them. Now it
will have a block that will move and push you, this can
easily push you off the platform and kill you if your not careful.
World 4 Mini-Fortress 1: A mini-fortress with abunch of thwomps and hot
foot enemies. Anyway, you can just go across the
level, avoiding the thwomps and hot foot enemies. But there is a series
of 5 pipes. You can enter the middle one. You will
enter a small underground area with a couple Dry Bones and a Boo. There
are also some coin blocks, and one of them will give
you a mushroom or fire flower depending on what you currently are.
There are then 2 invisible bricks at the end to get you
out of the underground area.
World 4-4: A water level, avoid the spiny eggs lakitu drops.
World 4-5: You can get a Tanooki Suit in this level. About halfway
through there will be a pipe with a small venus fire trap
and on the right side there will be a very tall cannon. And in the
middle there is a brick. Hit the brick to unleash a
beanstalk. When a cannon shoots a bullet, jump on the bullet to give
yourself a boost to the beanstalk, climb up the
beanstalk, enter the pipe, and get a Tanooki Suit.
World 4-6: This is an interesting level. There are two doors in the
level you can enter, to bring the level from Giant to
Regular, and back again. Just enter the door to change it.
World 4 Mini-Fortress 2: There are falling platforms near the start, so
get by them fast. The second last falling platform
requires to run and jump high to get to the last. There are then some
Dry Bones and a p-switch, the p-switch will show coins
around a hidden door. You can enter the door and enter an area like
ones you will see in World 7. Just go up through this
area using the arrow platforms. You can tell the ! platforms to go up
and turn by jumping when you're on them.
World 4 Fortress: Try and get across this flying ship. One thing I've
always thought cool about this flying ship is at the
end, next to the pipe, there is a coin block where you can get a
mushroom. When I was first playing SMB3, I loved that. :)
World 5-1: If you have a p-wing you can fly up at the start and enter a
pipe to go to a hidden area to get some coins. Now,
you cam get too this pipe with a raccoon or tanooki suit, but its much
more difficult because of that chain-chomp at the
start, it makes it challenging to get a running start to fly.
World 5-2: When you enter this level, you go down a big pipe. Now stay
still and you will land on a bouncing block. Jump to
the next one, then to the brick. Make your way upward, and you'll get
to a pipe. Watch out, 2 Koopa Troopas will fall to the
platform below the pipe. Once you enter the pipe, just make your way
across, facing a couple easy foes. There will also be a
pipe you can enter to a room where you can get some 1ups and a mushroom
or flower depending on what you are already.
World 5-3: This is where you can get the Goomba Shoe. Enter the level,
make your way across a Venus Fire Trap, and go under a
row of bricks. A Goomba in a shoe will jump above it, hit the brick
under him to get his shoe. If you don't get it, don't
worry, there are two more opportunities. The next comes up soon and is
like the first, go under a row of bricks and hit the
goomba. Also, if you have gotten a Goomba Shoe already, you can jump on
Spiny's and Munchers. There are a row of Munchers
coming up with a row of bricks above it, jump on the Munchers and hit
the bricks, one of them has a 1up. Now the last way too
get a goomba shoe is when you pass the munchers and another venus fire
trap, you will go down a pipe. There is a Goomba in a
boot traps inside some bricks. The right side of the bricks are white
removable bricks. Remove the white bricks and move.
Allow the Goomba to leave, then go under the bricks, the Goomba should
jump on top, now hit the brick he's on and get his
shoe. This last way is harder, but its still a way if you don't have a
shoe.
World 5 Mini-Fortress 1: Now, at the start, right after the lava and
thwomp, there are some bricks from the ceiling. Now, if
you have a flying suit, you can get enough running room to fly, brake
the bricks, keep going up, and enter a pipe to a hidden
room. Now getting this running room can be difficult. As the thwomp
will try and crush you, and the rotodisc will try and get
you. So you have to time it just right. And if you do get flying power,
you better move fast, as the pipe is pretty high up,
and you may barely make it.
World 5 Spiral Tower: This is the one level in the game, which once you
beat it, it stays. Just try and make your way up the
tower.
World 5-4: Now your in the sky. Anyway, if you have a flying suit, at
the start of the level you can run and fly to a
platform in the sky, run again and fly further until the pipe at the
end.
World 5-5: You can get a Tanooki Suit in this level. Near the start you
will see 2 pipes covered by bricks, if you have a
tail you can destroy them with it, if you don't, you can grab a koopa
shell and have it bounce around and destroy the bricks.
Enter the second pipe, you can get a Tanooki Suit in there. Collect all
the coins to make a White Toad House Appear, it will
contain a p-wing.
World 5-6: This is a force scrolling level. You'll jump from parabeetle
to parabeetle to make your way across, this can be
easier if you have a tail to slower glide from one parabeetle to the
next.
World 5-7: There are some brick goombas in this level, so watch out.
About 30% across the level there is a pipe with a venus
fire trap. You can enter that pipe. Be careful, as there are a whole
bunch of brick goombas jumping around there. The pipe
will bring you to a World 1 looking area. You can fly up if you have
that ability, and you will see abunch of bricks, there
is one brick hanging down the farthest, hit it to reveal a p-switch,
hit that to make all the bricks coins.
World 5 Mini-Fortress 2: This is a interesting mini-fortress, with lava
on the ceiling and floor. With Podoboos jumping from
both! So watch out.
World 5-8: Just try and make it across this level while a lakitu drops
spinys on you.
World 5-9: This is a forced sidescrolling up level. Try and make it to
the top, there will be a pesky Fire Chomp after you.
You can jump on him to get rid of him.
World 5 Fortress: Try and defeat this Flying Ship. Now what's
interesting about this World, unlike the others, is how there
are 2 areas to this world, that are apart. So if you die on this flying
ship, it may fly down to the first area, you'll have
to go down the pipe on the map to get to it, now once there, if you die
again, it can fly back up to the sky, and you'll have
to go through the entire spiral tower again. This may be the best
flying ship too use an anchor on.
World 6-1: Welcome to Ice Land. If you have a flying suit you can run
near the start and fly up to a door, enter it too go to
a hidden room. In the room, jump to the top, run and duck down to slide
under the big ice blocks. At the end there will be a
p-switch. When you hit it abunch of bricks you probably saw at the
start of the room will become coins. So after you hit the
p-switch, run, and quickly side under the big ice blocks and get those
coins. :)
World 6-2: This is a forced sidescrolling level, you'll be forced to
move right, as well as up and down. Jump from and to the
moving platforms. Near the end if you move and jump quickly you can get
a 1up from a brick above a |_ shaped platform.
World 6-3: You can get a Tanooki Suit in this level. Get across the
level until you get to a |_ shaped platform with a Koopa
Troopa. Jump on the Koopa and grab his shell, toss it at the brick next
to the |_ shaped platform. A beanstalk will come up,
climb it enter the pipe and get the tanooki suit. You can also fly up
in that room on the far left, brake through bricks and
get some coins.
World 6 Mini-Fortress 1: Now jump on the moving platform and avoid the
Podoboos that jump up, and after that some rotodisc.
Now if you got the Tanooki suit from level 3, and still have it, you
can turn to stone while on the moving platform to be
unharmed by the Podoboos and rotodiscs. Actually, you can defeat the
rotodiscs while stone.
World 6-4: Try and get across this level, there you can get a 1up near
the start by slowing and carefully going down dome ice
stair-things and hitting a brick.
World 6-5: This was always one of my favourite levels because of the
uniqueness of it, and how you have to get through it.
Anyway, You need a flying suit to get past this level, but you can get
one over and over in the level if you need too. Now
when you first enter the level, go down the pipe, move forward and go
up the first pipe. You'll be in a little room with a
coin block which will give you a mushroom or leaf depending on what you
currently are. If your small mario/luigi, get the
mushroom, enter a pipe, and go right back into the pipe to get the
leaf. Anyway, you want to finally leave that room through
the pipe on the left. Get by the venus fly trap.
You'll soon be at an area in the level where there are four regular
bricks piled high, and 3 white removable bricks piled
high. There will also be a Koopa Troopa which you need and an annoying
mole-thing, which will throw bricks at you. Now first
off, destroy that mole-thing, or it will mess you up. Next, get rid of
the bricks. All this time, do not harm that koopa. Once
the bricks are removed, jump on the koopa, get a running start to fly,
and right before you start to fly grab the shell.
Carry it flying up through a space in the ceiling. Once your up there
you'll see some bricks and some jumping pirana enemies
blocking a pipe, throw the shell at them. It will bounce around and
destroy the bricks and the enemies, enter the pipe, get
your card panel and then your done the level.
World 6-6: A Water/Land Underground level. At the start you can go up
if you want to get a mushroom or fire flower, depending
on what you are, or just go down to defeat the level. This level is
swarming with cheep-cheep and jumping cheep-cheep, venus
fire traps and others.
World 6-7: Try and get across this level, while jumping to and from
falling platforms and getting chased by a fire chomp.
Collect all the coins to make a White Toad House Appear, it will
contain an anchor.
World 6 Mini-Fortress 2: Try and get across this icy fortress filled
with thwomps. If you have a flying suit, you can
actually run and fly under abunch of thwomps because of the way the
mini-fortress is designed. Using a p-wing makes it even
easier.
World 6-8: There is a koopa near the start, if you jump on him and grab
his shell, you can toss it forward and run after it,
it will destroy a whole bunch of enemies. But watch out, it will bounce
back when it hits a brick.
Later on in the level you will find a platform made of blocks, there
will be 3 bricks on it, making a L shape. One of the
bricks is a white brick. There will also be a mole-enemy there. Anyway,
the top brick on the L shape has a p-switch, hit the
p-switch and bricks will turn to coins. Now directly above that
p-switch is a WHOLE bunch of bricks that are now coins, fly
up and get them.
World 6-9: Try and get across this level. You can get across by
swimming through water mostly, or going above the water
sometimes and getting across some munchers.
World 6-10: Go forward in the level, and part way in you'll see a large
tower of bricks. To the left of it a few bricks, some
white, some regular. Get rid of the white one on the right side, and
hit the brick above it. It will unleash a beanstalk.
Climb it, there will be a brick that will reveal a p-switch, hit it and
that large tower of bricks will now be coins. Jump
off and fall down going through them. Try and position yourself
in-between two rows of coins, to get the most.
World 6 Mini-Fortress 3: Near the start of the stage, if you have a
flying suit, you can run, avoid the two rotodiscs and fly
up to a small platform and hit a brick to get a 1up. Later on you can
fly above a thwomp, there will be 2 bricks, they are
both filled with coins, you can swing your tail to get the coins.
World 6 Fortress: Just try and get across this flying ship.
World 7-1: Welcome to Pipe Land. Just make it up the level by entering
pipes. Near the start you will have to enter a pipe
which is above and in-between two pipes with piranas coming out, stay
in the middle and avoid them. Later when you get higher,
you will jump through a small gap in the middle of two long narrow
pipes with a koopa walking on it. Jump on the koopa and
push his shell down the hole. Now, if you have the ability to fly, run
and get some flying power, fly up the left side,
you'll be able to enter a little area with a bunch of coins. After that
you'll go into a cramped area with two koopas walking
toward you, try and jump on one, and get by them. Later on in that same
area, there is a paratroopa going up and down. If you
jump on him you can get a boost higher and get an invisible block where
a 1up will appear.
World 7-2: If you go down the second pipe you see, you can turn right,
and you'll find a p-switch. Hit it and bricks will
become coins. Collect all the coins in this level to make a White Toad
House Appear, it will contain a p-wing.
World 7-3: The level of never-ending stars. When you first enter this
level you will see a coin block, there is a star inside.
Get it and start running forward. You get to some more coin blocks, the
bottom left block has another star, get it and go on,
you'll find some more coin blocks, the bottom left has another star,
get it and go on. You'll see a brick with a coin block
above it, the brick has another star, get it and go on. You will see
another brick, it has a p-switch, you can hit it if you
want. But after that brick there is another with another star, get it
and make it to the end of the level. So if you move
quickly, you can have star power from start to finish in this level.
World 7-4: This is probably the hardest water level in the game. Parts
will be forced sidescrolling, and it will force you
through a whole bunch of jelectros while there is a blooper shooting
his little kids at you. There are also Big Cheep-Cheep!
Just try and make it across this level.
World 7-5: I always loved this level for some reason, a whole bunch of
areas. Just try and keep going across this level, to
the next pipe.
World 7 Muncher Level 1: A short fun level. At the start run and jump
to get over a tall pipe. You'll then get to a whole
bunch of small pipes with munchers going in and out. Now time your
jumps, and jump on the pipes when there down, then when
they're about to come out, jump to the next set of pipes while those
munchers are down.
World 7 Mini-Fortress 1: The Coin Fortress. You can get A TON of coins
here and a Tanooki suit, what a level. Well, if you
are anything but small Mario when you enter this level you'll notice a
small solid platform, and bricks beside it, bricks
above it, and below. ALL AROUND! Anyway, start braking the row of
bricks 4th from the solid platform. You will find a
p-switch. Hit it and ALL THOSE BRICKS BECOME COINS!!! Jump down and get
as many as you want. Well, once the remaining coins
turn back to bricks, enter the door at the bottom, then go right back
in the door you appear by. You will be back in that
first room, and everything will be back to normal. Get the p-switch
again and hit it, the bricks will turn into coins, a door
will also appear on the solid platform, jump to it and enter it. Now
before I go on, you could keep going back in that room
and getting coins until the time runs out, you also can just go
straight to the appearing door without getting coins. Anyway,
once you enter that door, there will be a pipe, go down it, you will
get a Tanooki Suit. Leave, and you come out of the pipe
you entered, go right and enter the pipe. You will appear in a room on
a platform above lava, glide down with your tail to
the bottom left, enter the door. You will know be in a hall. Now lets
get you to Boom-Boom. There is a hidden pipe at the top
of this hall you have to fly to and enter to get to him. Now the run
and get flying power, pass the door in the middle of the
room, and a pillar right next to it, you'll then get to another pillar,
start flying up, the pipe is too the right of that
pillar. Now fight Boom-Boom.
Now, if you entered the mini-fortress as small mario, go right and
enter the door, go to your right and enter the door, you
can get a mushroom in there, go back in the door you came in, go back
to the first door, and get the p-switch and do the
stuff I talked about above.
Phew, longest level guide so far. :P
World 7-6: Try and get up through this level using all the arrowed and
! platforms, have fun. :)
World 7-7: In this level you have to keep getting stars, and running
across munchers. You'll have to duck under pipes and
coin blocks to keep getting the stars, and jump at the right time.
World 7-8: Try and get across this level, timing your jumps is crucial,
as there are plants which come out of pipes from the
top and bottom.
World 7-9: This level defines why this world was originally titled Pipe
Maze, because that's just what this level is. To get
through this maze, go forward, jump up through the first gap, then the
gap above that, then the gap above that. Then go left,
push the white bricks out of the way, then go up the gap and go right.
Keep going, there will be a large gap between the top
pipes, get across it and keep going. You'll get to another big gap,
with bouncing music not blocks, fall there and go left,
then up, then left, then down, then right. You'll get to a place with
two gaps, one above the other, jump and go through the
top one and go right. Keep going right, past two sets of white bricks.
Then go up, and right. You'll fall down, go left and
get rid of those white blocks, fall through the gap, and go right and
get rid of some more white blocks, jump up through the
gap, go forward, you'll see a pipe, go down it. You've finished the
maze.
World 7 Mini-Fortress 2: Just try and get across this second last
mini-fortress of the game. It requires quick-timing.
World 7 Muncher Level 2: Like the first muncher level, try and get
across, avoid the fireball by the venus fire traps. Jump
on some platforms above the munchers to get by many.
World 7 Fortress: Try and beat this last Koopa Kid.
World 8 Tank Level 1: You've made it, time to kick Bowser's butt and
save the Princess. Well, in this first level, just try
and get to the end. Avoid all the cannon balls which will come flying
at you, as well as the wrenches being thrown.
World 8 Boat Level: Ok, you can do what was done in the first level of
world eight, try and get across, avoid the cannon
balls and wrenches. Or, enter the level, and go across a little bit
until you see the first space between boats. Jump into
the brown water, (what's in there?) well, jump in, and then try and go
under the next boat. Constantly press your B button to
swim, and constantly be pressing up and to the right on the control
pad. You can swim across the whole level, just watching
all the cannon fire above. You'll get to the end, jump out, and go into
the pipe.
Also, it may be another button besides your B button depending on what
version your playing, and your button setup, but its
just the button you use to swim. :P
World 8 ?-Level 1: Enter this level, pretty straightforward, get
across. Watch out though, every Bro is in this level!!! Yep,
you'll encounter a Fire Bro., then two Hammer Bros, then a Boomerang
Bro, and finally a Sledge Bro. But at the end of this
level is a leaf item.
World 8 ?-Level 2: A very simple level. Kind of nice. Just jump from
platform to platform getting coins if you want. Simply
don't fall into the lava, and avoid the Podoboos.
World 8 ?-Level 3: Those flying Cheep-Cheep are back. Try and get
across, you'll have to run and duck to get under and area.
World 8 Flying Ship Level: This level was always the hardest world 8
level for me when I was younger. You can use a p-wing to
just fly across the entire level, very easy. Or just jump into the
level as is, and jump from moving platform to moving
platform avoiding wrenches and other things.
World 8-1: Finally a level number:P Ok, if you have the ability to fly,
you can run back and forth and the very start and get
flying power, and start flying up and to the right, you'll see a pipe,
enter it and get some 1ups. Later in the level there
will be big holes and bullets being shot. You got and try to jump onto
the bullets to get a boost to get across the rest of
the level.
World 8-2: He's back! The Angry Sun has returned in this level. But
right near the start you'll notice quicksand. Jump right
in! You won't die, you'll sink down to a hidden area. Now there will be
two pipes in this area, one on the left and the other
on the right, each is different. The one on the left will bring you to
a room where you can get a mushroom or leaf depending
on what you currently are. Now the one on the right will bring you to a
room filled with coins. So pick your room.
World 8 Mini-Fortress: Well, there are MANY doors in this level, have
fun and explore, but to simply get to the end.
Enter the level, go until you pass a brick, the 2nd brick you see will
have a mushroom or fire flower in it, depending on
what you are. Keep going. Get to a door surrounded by bricks, hit some
of the bricks and enter the door. Watch Out! You'll
end up on a moving platform, if you don't move it will move you into
lava. Keep going right, you'll pass a couple door and
you'll get to a thwomp, pass that thwomp. Keep going, you'll pass
another door on a moving platform. Next you'll see a door
on a non-moving platform, go in there. You'll see a p-switch, hit it
and start running right. At the end you'll see a door,
enter it. Go to your right. You'll pass over two bricks and a moving
platform. Below that is a thwomp, fall down there and
run left, avoid the thwomp. Hit both bricks, one will give you a path
out, the other will be a p-switch. Jump out and get the
p-switch. A Door will appear to the right of it. That is a trick door,
go past it and on the far right of the room there will
be another door. Enter it. You'll be at Boom-Boom's room. Hold down so
you won't get hurt by the spikes on the roof.
World 8 Tank-Level 2: Just try and get by this level. A whole bunch of
cannons being shot at you here.
World 8 Bowser's Castle: You've made it, the final battle. Enter the
level, and just start running full blast right. There
are 3 statues, they will shoot laser beams at you, (Yeah I know, laser
beams, where did that come from.) Anyway, if you're
running full blast you'll just miss them. Go up the stairs. Stand under
the hole in the ceiling, a platform will come up from
the ground and bring you to the top, then go left. If you miss the
platform, enter the door to your right, get through that
little area, and you'll start back at the start. So once you let the
platform bring you to the top and go right, you'll see a
hole, fall down it and hold right. You'll move onto ground instead of
lava. Then there are a set of stairs you have to go up
and then down. There are rotodiscs spinning around them. Jump up the
stairs, and stay on the stair next to the read ball
where the discs rotate around, you won't get hurt, time this to get to
the top of the stairs. Once their you can jump in the
far right corner for a 1up. Then fall down and try and avoid the
rotodiscs. Next will be a big long floor of lava with
podoboos. There are platforms that fall when you stand on them for
awhile there. Jump on them and jump so you get higher and
higher. Make you way across the lava, you will see too platforms you
can go for. Go for the bottom one. Go right, there is a
coin block if you need a mushroom. Stand on the falling platform, and
go right, move close to the thwomp so he moves toward
you, when he starts moving back, get on that falling platform, if you
time it right you will fall and be unharmed by the
thwomp. Next go right, make it across lava and podoboos. Enter a door,
there is a statue that will shoot a laser beam at you
avoid it. The next statues are harmless. Keep going. There is more
lava, with small platforms, jump to and from them, there
will be fire being blown at you, you must be getting close to bowser.
Well, once you get across the lava, there will be a
door. It leads to Bowser!!! Enter it and defeat him.
How to defeat Bowser? Well, you'll see he tries and jumps on you, and
when he's falling on you, dodge out of the way. Get him
to land on the red brick floor. He'll brake some of the floor. Get him
to do that enough, he'll brake through the floor, and
the door will open, and there will be the Princess. Congratulations,
you just beat Super Mario Bros. 3.
World 9 The Warp Zone: Yep, I gotta have some info on World 9/The Warp
Zone. Well, here is how you can use it, to get to
World 2-8. First get the first two whistles, as described above about
World 1-3 and World 1 Mini-Fortress. Next use a
whistle. You'll end up on the row to enter Worlds 2,3, and 4. If you
want to go to one of those worlds, then great, go to it.
Now if you want to go to world 8, use your other whistle right their in
The Warp Zone, it will bring you to the World 8 Pipe.
If you want to go to Worlds 5,6, or 7. Enter World 2, then use your
whistle, it will bring you to worlds 5,6, and 7 row.
