NES to SNES

When SMB3 was converted over to the SNES for Super Mario All-Stars, the graphics were updates/changed dramatically. Characters were updated, and levels were changed, giving them updated looks, and backgrounds.

Here are a few examples of the changes.

There are side to side comparisons of the Enemies, Mario's Suits, and other throughout the shrine.

The title screen was updated, with a more colorfully bold 3D look.

The world maps changed as well.

Look at the differences in the first level.  Background, and again, a more 3D look.
(Look how the NES version blends in with this page, I guess you know where the shrine got its background, lol)

Well look at that, a nice background, clouds, a sense of distance.

Look how the underground levels changed, you can really tell its an underground level now.

Even the water levels changed, ti have a nice background, and while were on these screenshots, look how the pipes got more 3D.

The test has changed here, as well as other places, as well as the Kings being transformed to different animals, I guess the snake is more terrible than that loveable dog.

Battling the Koopa Kids has changed a bit, but it actually still looks quite similar here. :)
